Jana Clinard Harris finds community invaluable to her survival as a creative person

Jana feels that her purpose in this life is to spread love, positive vibes, encouragement and joy through her mixed media collage art, which she frequently sends out into the world as Happy Mail. She has several chronic health conditions that may slow her down, but she is determined that they will never stop her from creating! She has three grown children and lives in North Carolina with her Superman, youngest child and senior rescue pups.

What is art journaling to you?

Art journaling for me is an escape into a world with more happiness, joy, peace and beauty. My journals are the storybooks that I would love to live in and the images in them represent the wonderful things in life.

What does community do for your art?

My art community is invaluable to my survival as a creative person. It supports and encourages me, inspires, and challenges me. I feel understood and appreciated by it and I am led to provide these things in turn to my fellow artists.

Jana is one of the incredible teachers at Get Messy. She shares her art and her heart in the Season of Encouragement.

You’re invited to embrace the messy middle and join the best art journaling community on the internet.
